are you a competitive person? a sore loser? a bad sport?

i'm an awful sore loser. even in the smallest more pointless things. i play checkers with my brother every day. when i lose i flip out and get pissed. i can't stand losing that game to him. i always get mad because i rarely feel outplayed, i always feel like i lost to myself thanks to dumb not thinking moves and that there is no way someone could beat me at checkers. i used to kick the basketball and throw it at people when i lost too.

my girlfriend gets pissed because she says i try to turn everything into a competition even if it's not. like if i were going to go to a driving range and hit golf balls, i'd want to keep count, so that i could hit more that whoever i'm with, therefore winning.

i think this is a rather obnoxious trait probably, but i can't help it, i just can't stand to lose games.

Dude. I make everything a competition, too. I have to recognize that often times though and not let others know I'm competing with them. Gotta play it cool, act like I'm just there to "have fun" and to "play." Yeah right, I'm there to win.

"always go in it to win... and to learn" - friend of mine

i think i'm a pretty gracious loser. i used to believe that if the other person really wanted to win more than i did, then it's ok for me to let him win. my views have changed since then, and slowly i realized that by losing purposely, i'm just hindering the other person as well as myself. so now i always play to win. when i lose, i don't beat myself up over it --at least not in public.

yeah it's even worse when you're playing on a team. at least solo you can give all your effort and no one can stop you but yourself. there's always that one bitch on a team who doesn't care enough. that's when you have to flip out on them and threaten their life if they don't get their act together and stop jeopardizing your game

this is what i hated about P.E., there was always those dudes who hated the class and wouldn't try and causes my team to lose.

I don't think so, I played football / soccer throughout school & had more off periods than I would have if I'd taken PE

NO BITCH YOU MISSED OUT

i liked PE. i took it for fun just cause it was fun to have an hour of f*cking around and playing games. even though you didn't take it, i'm sure if you had, you would have actually tried. instead of being a little wimp that caused the whole team to lose because you were too cool to run bases and walked instead.

I HATED THAT IN MIDDLE SCHOOL AND ELEMENTARY

Like, I've played soccer my whole life and when it came to kickball I took that shit seriously. When people would just like half-ass kick the ball then walk, I was like wtf why are you even playing, go sit over there with the girls.

I'm not necessarily a sore loser, but I do like winning, if you catch my drift. I don't have a lot to make competitions out of, so I'm not usually one to do as such. However, if it's offered, then I will more than likely accept. I like to go skate competitions, though, if that counts for anything.

Also, I used to play kickball, too.
