Are you a fan of it? I didn't used to like the name Steven, at all. I always had wished my parents named me something else. Lately, though, I've been completely fine with the name. I think a lot of people like or dislike a name based on it's social connotation and based on if any "cool" people have that name or if there are a bunch of f****ts with that name. Granted this is probably way more prevalent in elementary/middle/high schools than college, but stilllll.

Do you like your name?

Steven is the best of the three, tbh. My brothers have (I think) slightly less common names - Keith & Bryan, still pretty common probably. I've got friends with names like Ebuka & Tobias & Trieu & other not so common names.

My name is okay, but people always spell it wrong, even when it's right there in front of them on Facebook, a form, as my CB username, etc. I understand that it's usually spelled "Christy," but there is no excuse for spelling it that way when you've known me for a while.

I used to hate my name (manly because people would call me Abigail) but now I just dislike the spelling since everyone assumes it's abbie or abby.

I'm cool with it. Not a lot of people, except for some adults (like my mom, or teachers), call me Michael, though. I've grown to really just like Mike.

Whoa.

I used to absolutely HATE my name. When I was 6, I was very persistent in begging my parents to let me change my name to Daisy (because Daisy Duck was my favourite Disney character).

I'm still kind of iffy about my name... I think it sounds kinda silly. And it's really annoying when everyone I meet adds an extra syllable to it (JoannA). THERE IS ONLY 1 A, GAWDAMMIT.

Oh, and I used to scream at my mom whenever she called me Jojo. Again, I was 6.

As a little kid I used to hate my name Hormuz because I felt stigmatized compared to the Canadian/American kids at school with normal French/English names, but now I'm fine with it.

haters keep hating, james > every other name

I was named after the guy on the horse. You were named after all the dudes on the floor.

though, legally my name is also JC, but a one syllable name is more appealing to a lazy person like me

Yes, how IS it pronounced? I've always assumed it was pronounced like "Are Joo Nuh." I know how to pronounce Anjuna so I figured it was just change the n to an r and wallah.

Haha, yeah, you got it right Steven. White power.

It's just phonetic; people try to f*ck my name over with a spanish silent J and shit.

I've been tempted to legally change my name to Dee, but it would take forever to make that happen. Whenever someone calls me by my real name they usually have to say it twice before I realize they are talking to me lol
