Last time we had all these great ideas about recreating createblog.
But I guess it's true, without Jusun, their is nothing we can do. I absolutely think if he'd picked a team of designers and coders,(A while ago) this place could of been better then smashing magazine. But I guess it's too late huh? Well, What happen to that site Fixtatik was doing? It's just I love CB, but it's dead! So making a new SITE, with a TEAM this time, we could do something amazing. I'm not complaining, But I'm saying lets do something already. since Jusun doesn't want too. A new name, a new forum, new stuff...... |

I think we should add a porn section, and a random or /b/ section.

I think JC, Steven, and Batman are doing a pretty good job at trying to "revive" CB a little.
I think CB might actually get more attention if it had an entire new website redesign (but we can't do that without our best friend). |

I think CB might actually get more attention if it had an entire new website redesign (but we can't do that without our best friend). It'll take more than that. When I joined CB five years ago, LiveJournal and MySpace were the shit. Now Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook, etc. are the hot new blogging/communications platforms. 'Cept CB doesn't offer any resources for those sites. (And why should it? Tumblr has its own template-distribution system, Facebook can't be styled, and Twitter is dead-simple but very limited in how you can tweak it.) We still have the community forums, but it seems like we're trying to model CB's forums off of 4Chan now, 'cept we don't even have the limited creativity and cleverness of 4Chan. |

my revival would never work. when i think of revival i think of interesting topics with lots of discussion. what most people are interested is thoughtless topics in mass quantity with fly by posting. most the people here are boring and don't even have real interests to discuss. (or that's how most the people here come across) for example, i made a handful of topics yesterday and the most boring "you don't have to think, read, have an opinion or discussion" topic was the successful one. people would rather
this kind of topic isn't helping cb or going anywhere though. MAKE A BETTER ONE. |

Fly by posting threads are fun, so they get popular quick and fill up fast. Why do you think 4chan, Facepunch, and Something Awful are so successful?
I mean, sure, we can have a heated debate every once in a while, or an intelligent discussion, but most people are more interested in having fun. |

that's why i said my revival would never be successful. i'm not that interested in like what the weather is like or what people ate for their last meal that i wanna come here just to read that. that isn't fun to me. the people who enjoy that kind of stuff should be the ones to revive it they way they want.
i don't mean debates. i mean discussion. people don't even find that fun it doesn't seem like. |

we just don't have thoughtful interesting people anymore, either that or we just don't have any who are interested in wasting their time being thoughtful or interesting here. That, and most people here are dicks. Or at least go out of their way to try to be. I noticed this because I've been browsing a few other forums lately (namely, the XKCD forums) that have similarly tight-knit communities. I used to be addicted to Internet forums, but the past couple years I've been coming exclusively to CB, and I forgot that on other forums with close-knight communities, people are actually nice to each other. But on CB, a lot of the regular members are trying to be "bad-ass" and "cool". Look at the Relationships forum, for example: 4 or 5 years ago people could get real advice, but now if you post something there, or anywhere else, that alludes to even a minor personal problem or moment of insecurity, you'll get skewered. I'm sure some people here think that's entertaining, but it's a very puerile, un-witty form of humor. |

I don't mind the fly by topics but it just wears down after a while when that is all you seem to read here. That and the circle jerking that happens in Tech sometimes. |

Isn't this a site for resources, help, and learning? Don't you think it shouldn't be all for "fun" and more resourceful, I love Jc's revival plan.
If It be up to me, (which would be a bad idea lol) mods would watch for new topics, and if it's something not interested or nothing understandable, or discussable, the mods could pull the topic (not delete) and tell the person who made the topic to make it more discussable, fix typos, and let him post again,so the person could get better help, less smartass replies, etc. and make sure the first couple of answers of the topic are helpful. Fluther does this for questions, and it's a good idea. I been to a couple of forums. and people are more interesting, the topics are more helpful, unlike CB. Theres nothing to discuss about. People are too random, and less helpful then it use to be. so i could understand why its dead. I'm saying is, we have The Lounge and the rest of the Community Center for randomness, But Nothing is even interesting in those forums ether. It's a boring site. it's still helpful though, for the past history (basically for myspacers) which is dead anyways. I still love this site cause of the history, the BBoR, and the showcase forum (Cause i'm not good at designing and another forum probably would joke the shit out my design") lol, but thats about it. Like Jc Topic "a good read for designers/artists/creatives/etc, incomplete manifesto for growth" wasn't no feedback on it or nothing that was related to it. Maybe more designers, coders, professionals. techs would love this site if it didn't look it was ran by little teenagers. I was talking about a new site though, taking resources, and the forums to a whole new level, and new ideas for the new web. Can't we gather the CB members who know how to created designs, code websites, and give out good ideas for this sort of site? |

People on here have a thing called real life filled with jobs, school, and what nots. The people who do not have said lifes are either to unmotivated / not talented enough to recreate a CB. We all have stated several ideas. Good luck finding someone who is down to put those ideas into action. |

Let's face it; CB is meeting its 2012 (metaphorically speaking, of course). |

For free? hello, if the planned the site good enough, and if traffic came in, then they could make a lot of revenue/money from it (Ads - The Advertisements you see on this site) probably around 2006, 2007. Jusun made a lot from CB. (I don't know if it was "A lot though" but their was a lot of traffic around that time. and @mike, I know CB is. and atleast it'll stop people who really type/act like they never been to school before. i wish i could put in more detail of what i just said but i got the flu. |

Also, you say you stop people who type/act like they've never been to school before, so you're basically contradicting yourself because you do the same. Actually, I've never once seen you stop a person from typing/acting like they've never been to school before. Jus' sayin'.
