editing the blog? |

i was working on making my own layout, but then i got to the blog part, and i got rid of the left side modules, and i put in a drop down menu for the links, but now my blog is the entire width of my window, and i was wondering how to make it smaller, and centered, and have a background color so the text shows up better... can anyone help?
