so my friend asked me that one day
for me it would be a very difficult choice... if someone knew.. it would be such an embarassment to my family especially how alll my relatives are like crazy compettitng their kids to be the best... then it would be hard for a 16 yr old to keep her baby and go to school and do great in it. cant have an aboriton because we're catholic and it would suck... adoption would still mean carrying it for 9 months and then later give her/him away what would u guys do |

I'd put it up for adoption. I wouldn't be able to handle a baby right now, but abortion sucks. People would understand if they knew what happened, which would do a lot of lighten the embarassment

God, that's a hard one. If I was -16, then I'd abort it. As much as I'd hate killing an unborn baby, I wouldn't be emotionally ready to go through childbirth. If I was 17+ I'd probably put it through adoption. It deserves a chance to live with a family that wants it.
But I'd NEVER keep it. I wouldn't want it finding out it was a memory of rape.

Toughy, but . . . I'd sadly abort. I wouldn't want him/her to grow up with another family and then find out that I gave him/her to another family. And plus if I were to get married and have more children that would be devestating for him/her to know that I gave him/her up and none of my other children. I think abortion would be for the best. Plus when people get raped the first thing they do is give them the day after pill so they won't become pregnant.

Even though it sounds horrifying, i think i would choose abortion. I wont keep the baby because although the baby has nothing to do with what happend to me, the baby will be a constant reminder of the rape. I wouldnt want to choose adoption because i bet by the time i actually have the baby, i would grow fond of it and end up being heartbroken.

Abortion... or keep him/her. I would abort because being raped would have been an extremely terrifying and horrible experience, and I don't know if I could bring myself through childbirth knowing I was forced.

It depends on my emotional state. I'd most likely opt for abortion, but then again, I've heard that people grow to love their babies, no matter how they were conceived. So... It really depends on the situation.

at the age of 16, I dont think i can endure 9 months carrying a baby, experiencing mood swings, morning sickness, and all that stuff and still have to deal with school, friends, and parents. Yet I don't want an abortion. Life is complicated.

Abortion is about 350 bucks. But, it'll save you medical bills, diapers, formula, babie clothes, and all that mess. Financial wise it'll save you some $$, but spirtually you are killing a living thing regardless if it is aware of it. I'm buddhist, so being killed as a baby means another shot at life, but it also means a shot of life i never got. But, since i'm a a baby being born from forced illed intentions, i wouldnt be loved as much; so adoption is good.

I know I am a guy and don't know how a woman would feel about getting raped but she should seriously abort if she got pregnant. Think of it this way, if a guy rapes you, the baby may have the same tendencies as the father. You don't know the dude or even love him. If it was consensual sex then maybe I might say just put the baby up for adoption but when it is "forced" sex against your will, I wouldn't agree to keeping it. Why should you have to deal with keeping a baby?

i would keep it even though i have problems w/children but i would give up for adoption cause there would be a chance that my child wouldn't get adopted and get sent to numerous foster homes and such. I would probably get an abortion, even though I am against abortion. Abortion to me is wrong when YOU are the person that decides whether or not to have un-protected sex. However, in the case of rape, you have no choice in anything. You're forced in to having sex or whatever.

i'm not a girl, so my opinion is most likely biased (since i wouldn't have to deal w/ it as much), but i'd much rather keep the baby.
i know the whole process would traumatize you, and having a baby might make it worse, but i bet 20-30 years down the road, you'd think, "i'm so glad that i kept the baby because i love my child." yea...it would suck....you would pretty much lose your life (to take care of your kid...unless your parents helped...which they should). but why kill a baby who might has potential to do something good in this world? i had always taken the stance of letting the girls abort the baby if i wanted to...until i heard someone who had been born as a result of rape. he said he was so thankful that his mother had chosen to give birth and raise him, even though it would be hell on her |

i wouldnt keep it and since i am only 13 i couldnt handle all of the things that come with pregnancy so id abort it even though that sounds horrible it would be in my best interest

To me, getting an abortion is almost as bad as raping someone
. That's just my opinion tho, I'd give the child a life, and put him/her up for adoption.

It depends on how old I am when I get raped and got pregnant. I'm 14 right now, so I don't think I would survive carrying a baby for 9 months. Besides that, I've got school and stuff. I would get an abortion for this early of age. If I got raped at the age of 20 or older, I would keep it because I wouldn't want to kill any baby. After giving birth, I would put it up for adoption.

For sure I know I wouldn't want to kill it. Abortion would only be my last resort. I think first I would want to give it up for adoption but keeping it would be right for me. Yeah I am too young to have a baby now but it would kill me to give it up and never be able to see this baby that came from me. I have a lot of family that would help too. I mean, I would want to keep it even though the experience that it was born form woul be bad but I'd love it all the same and it would be harder for me to give it away then to keep it..

ide keep it. It's not my fault i got raped, much less the baby's. I also wouldn't give it up for adoption, the child would already know who the father is, it at least deserves to know who its mother is

.. Well , I'm only 15 so if anything would happen to that extent I would have to keep the baby .. I'm not for abortion .. I think it's cruel .. Wrong .. Everything ... id have an abortion. i am not going through no baby pain cause some sicko raped me. and i wouldnt give it up for adoption because many kids who are adopted find their biological parents when theyre older. i wouldnt want that kid to come to me and id have to be like "sorry, i have no idea who your dad is, he raped me and i had you." that would make the kid feel like they were a mistake and be traumatized because their dads a rapist. i wouldnt want that.

wow hard but i wouldnt put it for adoption cause even if it does find a real family it wil hurt him for the rest of its life. wondering about the real parents.. maybe abortion cause then the baby wil at least not go through too much pain... at least not emotional...
