QUOTE
Singer Chris Brown took to his Twitter page to express his extreme displeasure with stores, including a Walmart in Wallingford, CT, that are not visibly stocking his new album, Graffiti.
“the[y] didnt even have my album in the back… not on shelves, saw for myself,” he wrote in a series of tweets over the weekend. “im tired of this s—. major stores r blackballing my cd. not stockin the shelves and lying to costumers. what the f— do i gotta do.”
He continued: “im not biting my tongue about sh– else… the industry can kiss my ass.
WTF… yeah i said it and i aint retracting s–”
“we talked to the managers and the didnt even know anything. wow!!! but they had alicia keys album ready for release for this tuesday comin … the manager told me that when there are new releases its mandatory to put em on the shelves.. BUT NO SIGN OF #GRAFFITI. BS.”
“no disprespect to alicia at all,” he continued. “just givin an example to whos album is loaded and ready to go next week.”

Okay, the world, or the US. is so f-cking stupid. i went to buy 6 copies of the Cd today in target & guess what???? THEY SAID THEY DIDN'T HAVE IT.

Why can't we just get over this??? he told his sorry's. he did everything. damn. :(

Not the best written article, but:

QUOTE
Chris Brown is no MechanicalDummy. Not anymore, anyway.

Following in the footsteps of Miley Cyrus, the beleaguered R&B artist has shut down his Twitter account, a day after microblogging his butt off about Walmart and other big-box haters not stocking his new album.

Which he shouldn't really have worried about, because Walmart is, in fact, carrying Graffiti. And apparently, displaying it prominently.

"We are surprised at the comments online," read a statement released by the store today. "All Walmart stores nationwide have carried the CD since its release, including the Wallingford, [Conn.], store mentioned in the post. This store actually sold through its initial shipment over the weekend. The majority of our stores today are showing they do have copies available."

Brown tweeted yesterday: "JUST WAS AT WALMART IN wallingford CT,844 north colony.. the didnt even have my album in the back... not on shelves, saw for myself...we talked to the managers and the didnt even know anything. wow!!! but they had alicia keys album ready for release for this tuesday comin...no disprespect to alicia at all.. just givin an example to whos album is loaded and ready to go next week."

Yes, how dare the manager know all about the upcoming album release from 12-time Grammy winner Alicia Keys!

Anyway, earlier today, Brown signed off with this tweet: "I WANNA THANK MY FANS FOR ALL THE SUPPORT. I LOVE YALL. GOODBYE!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Now when you click on his handle, @MechanicalDummy, all you get is "Sorry, that page doesn't exist." His complementary website is still alive and well, but feel free to mourn the loss of Brown's Twitter account on ChrisBrownDeletesHisTwitterAccount.ridiculous.

Having been released on the U.S. on Dec. 8, first-week sales figures for Graffiti are due out Wednesday.

maybe stores aren't holding it because it has the most god awful cover. i've seen it in stores though, so he needs to chill out. he isn't going to do good numbers, and it has nothing to do with stores not carrying enough of his albums.

Agreed.

Stores not carrying his album isn't going to cause his "fans" to abandon him. He works in the music industry, he should know how that works. I listen to plenty of bands and musicians whose records aren't available at Walmart or Target, but that doesn't keep me from getting my hands on a copy. And that doesn't keep them from doing what they do. He just sounds greedy.

Who actually still buys cds anymore. I get everything off itunes or albumhunt. the quality is about the same... Besides, I thought he was leaving the industry for a while. He got back in pretty quick since you can't do a CD in a week.

That's part of the reason I still use CDs -- the music from the iTunes Store isn't as high-quality as stuff I rip myself. The "regular" iTMS stuff is in 128-kbps AAC, which isn't that great; the iTunes Plus music is much better quality, but costs more. Plus, the "regular" music files have DRM, and with a CD, I can rip in much higher quality without DRM.

Plus it's nice to have a physical CD, so you can re-rip music if you lose your MP3s.

Ayo doggie, fuck you b. mad.gif If that nicca don't sell, my coochie stock options go down. Secondly, this album is dope, ya feelz me. I be cruising in my coupe doing 95 in a 70 listening to "What I Do" with the sunroof up letting the wind entrance into my eyes as tears stream down my eyes from the gentle breeze of mother nature's wind.

Breezy >>> Omari-done

Ayo chill b. That nicca ain't no wife beater. That b!tch Rihanna struck first, and now she trying to play the victim. Best believe if a girl step to me swinging, she ain't going to like what I hit her with next. I'mma bring home 2 of her best friends for a menage, her not included, and they both going to take a beaten harder than what Breezy did to Rihanna. My girl ain't going to know what hit her.

Or atleast, why would you buy 6? just buy 1, and make 5 copies.

You aren't making money off of it, and it is just a more convenient way for you all to listen at the same time. Not illegal.
