what are the odds that the computers in this add are stolen?
I see ads like this all the time. and they are some tempting, but it really seems like they are stolen or they are to good to be true. the other day I saw an ad for 30 computers for 100 dollars all without hard drives. O and btw i love craigslist now. I got a free computer and im in the process of getting two flat screen monitors for 50$! |

Nah, sometimes just someone making money off company trash. Most companies remove hard drives from computers because the confidential information that could be stored on them. It is still considered taking without permission, because the company is under the premise that the devices were taken to the trash. Though, you can still purchase them. Fact of the matter is, what are you gonna do with 15 computers? If you plan on using them, you'd have to buy a hard drive, and even for something really cheap, that still means about $10 per CPU. It really wouldn't be worth it to waste your time on this ad any longer.

OIC!
I would just by them then get some cheap hard drives and resell them. and keep the best one for myself. or sell each component seperately. that would make more money. 10$ for a cpu. 10$ per pair of ram. 10$ for a case. 10$ for each optical drive. see? or if I could also get some more cheap monitors I could sell them as complete packages for 300 dollars. and it would still be a good deal. I just hate passing up any good deal. |
