okay so lately i've been working a lot on doing cosmetics (hair, makeup, skin fixtures) with Gimp i'm really into photo manipulation right now. and here is one of the ones i did. i took a picture that i took of myself about 3 years ago and tryed to make it look a little bit more like me now so the things i did was i applyed make up to the eyes, defined the eye browns a little bit more, fixed skin, darkened and fixed hair, and did a little bit to the eyes. i know it isn't much but i figured you gotta start somewhere so let me know wathcha think! C:

oh yeah the pictures a thumbnail so just click on it to make it bigger C:

The make over looks great. The changes are pretty basic, but one thing that stood out was the eyes. Kudos to that! thumbsup.gif

I think the skin retouches on the face is a little bit extreme though. Did you try toning down the opacity to make it look more natural?

Yeah definitely work on making the skin look more natural. Also the area under your chin/your chest area looks weird because it's obvious you did something to that area. Other than that, it's not that bad nod.gif

^ I agree. The shadow by the nose looks like a smudge in the edit. I love what you did with the eyes, though.

I thought in general terms, you're suppose to sharpen hair, not blur it.
