I'm not entirely sure where this idea came from. It just sort of evolved. I like it though and thought I'd get your opinions on it

It looks like you used hair for the texture lol. I agree about the edges. The right side of the image by what I'm guessing is his butt looks kind of off to me...

 Anyways, I think it looks pretty nice. I definitely like the color and it's shape as well, but ya know, the edges are all choppy. :\ Also, what do you plan on using this for? O_o |

i think what you should do, is give shading. just give a black to transparent gradient from the bottom to top then blur it. i really love this though. i think you could take it farther though. and give it a background, and make it like some other things you have seen. and make it 1920x1200 and send it to me :D

You should totally warp the texture to curve with the flow of the wings. Right now it just looks like a bird-shaped mask and a gradient.
