this was working and now it isnt and it is driving me nuts.
I want to share files over the network between my mac and pc. simple as that. Ive turned on sharing and set up a folder to share, but when I do go>connect to server smb://GARAGEDESKTOP and then put in the password it says connection failed you do not have permission to access this server. WHAT DO? i have been googling all around and found nothing. |

aren't local networks given with afp?

not when sharing between mac and pc. I have done this successfully before!

are you able to remotely connect to the pc from the mac, or vice versa?

the point is that you cant connect.

Are they on the same network, or just plugged into the same modem? As in no router?

I dropped it. so pissed now. couldnt get it o work.
