So I took off a week to take care of my boyfriend because he's been in the hospital for about a week and can't really take care of himself, and told one of the managers that I'd be available next week. Through some misunderstanding, between the managers, they don't put me on the schedule which pisses off a store manager because she thinks it's because I'm not taking my job seriously. However, another manager tells me to not worry about it, she'll make sure I get put on the schedule next week. I go in to check this week and I'm not on it. I call in the next morning, and the store manager starts telling me that she's disappointed that I haven't been taking my job seriously and haven't been showing up when - I'm not on the schedule? I've been checking to see if I am? I've been telling managers when I go in? I haven't been acting like I have to stay by his side until he's completely healed, which would be in around 3 months. Oh yeah, and by the way, my best friend's in there too. Still. Yeah, it's been two weeks, and he's still in there. And probably for another couple weeks. Being fed through tubes, with three fractured ribs, a fractured pelvis, internal injuries the doctors still haven't found out what exactly... yeahhhh sorry I took off a week guys.

I asked for a week off and got three. And then got reprimanded for taking so much time off. WHAT

And then that manager who gets pissed off hires two other people to replace me, and now I have to beat out both their productivities and quotas otherwise I'm fired. How does this make sense, seriously. I haven't had this job for that song, but I've been putting in extra time since I started. I've never been late either, I'm usually 15-20 minutes early. How does she think that I'm not taking my job seriously?

f*ck.

Because she f*cked up, and her ego is too big to admit it. So she's placing the blame on you.

I've always been told to send follow-up emails to my managers after changing schedules or telling her about a conflict, etc.

Totally get why you're upset, but it could be avoided by just sending an email to your manager and copying all other managers about what's going on. That way when they bitch at you, you can just be like "hey, check your email, who's fault is it again? yeah, yours." It's way easier than relying on somebody else to understand, comprehend, and remember what you're telling them.
