 vcc dance logo concept QUOTE Valencia Dance is looking for brand new ideas for the new Valencia Dance logo! Valencia Dance includes an Associates Art Degree Pre-Major in Dance Performance with extensive training in ballet and modern dance, as well as non-major classes also including, jazz, tap, and many other styles of movement.
They are looking for any dance related artwork with the words “Valencia Dance” incorporated. This logo will be used extensively for several applications such as the new Valencia Dance t-shirt, programs, and flyers. Anyone interested should submit an all black and white design in jpg format to Contest begins August 31, 2009 and ends September 25 by 5 pm. Judges will include the Art in Motion officers, and selected faculty. Designs will be based on creativity, sustainability, originality, and applicability to the program. A cash prize and a free t-shirt will be awarded to the winning artist! Good Luck! *By submit a submitting a design, the contestant is giving full consent for their work to be mass produced. |

too plain and whats it suppose to be? People dancing? also the back text is way to hard to read.

I mean this with the utmost respect, but at first I thought they were dancing/bending spoons. The font I also think is just too dull. For dancing, I picture an upbeat type of font, not the retro type of font.

I think if you want to keep the people simple you should add some pizazz (heh, what a cool word, huh?) with the font choice. |

I wanted to keep it minimalistic.. adding arms, legs, or facial features would take away from that. I'm not sure what size the end result is supposed to be, so this is thinking logo size 1.0" x 1.5". I'll try and work on the typography too. Got a whole 15 days. haha
