how can I make my about me section or blurb section whatever it's called, the same size as the basic info section?

Go to the Customize Profile page. Click on the Change Layout tab. Choose the very last one. The designer of the page you posted made an image that would make the Blurbs module have the same height as the Basic Info module. If you can do the same, you're good to go.
