I don't even like Alien movies, but my friends convinced me to go see it. I was actually surprised at how good this movie was.

It was awesome! The way it was filmed made it interesting, to me atleast. The second half of the movie was even more epic.

^x2 That fool was on the edge of his seat when I was about to fall asleep.

Lol I was gonna make a topic but then I was like ehh nevermind. I didn't like it, shoot me. I don't get the ending and I hate how the guy just ends up missing and doesn't get to go back to his wife. And Christoper wants to save his people, why did he not take them back when he got on the ship?

Has anyone seen this film yet?
I honestly loved it. I found the story to be quiet original and refreshing. The CGI was incredible as well. Neill Blomkamp has honestly done such a terrific job. I believe this film deserves all the attention it has been receiving and much more.
If you saw it, what are your thoughts?

I didn't think he went missing. At the end they saw this one alien thing rummaging through trash or something? Sorry it's been awhile since I've seen it and I can't remember the term they used for them. I just always figured that was him and that the transformation was complete? But he looked awfully human and not so hybrid-y.

LOVED this movie though. So different. It reminded me of Cloverfield in some warped way but it was so awesomeeeee. The CGI was terrific. The acting was so cool and how they infused the documentary style into it...yeah just AWESOME. Go see it. Just don't eat much before.

I got the ending but agree with you on the last part. Especially the part about Christopher.

He didn't go missing. That prawn at the end making that metal flower was Wikus. But I love how they filmed it too. Added to the feel of the movie, I guess.

Initially, I didn't really want to see this movie. I didn't know much about it and would just see tons of posters around town. But long story short, my best friend and I were going to see Ponyo but while waiting for Ponyo to start, we snuck into District 9 and ended up staying lol. I missed some of the beginning though. And I want there for be a second one because it left me wanting more.

OOOH okay I must have missed that part because I was feeling kinda loopy and I was just sitting there in my seat blankly staring, haha.
