I'm interested in starting a vlog and I want to know what would you like to see in a vlog? What makes a vlog successful? What are some ideas for a vlog?

You have to be a hot girl to get hits. Maybe you should write up a script and get a hot friend to memorize it and perform it in front of the webcam. Topless.

XD

In all seriousness though, the most successful vloggers I've seen have always been shared these qualities: are extremely charismatic (who are at least average looking), have interesting anecdotes, and have the uncanny ability to make viewers think: "OMG! I've always thought about that and thought no one else did! Awesome!", i.e., the ability to use novel, common life experiences (I know that sounds like an oxymoron lol) to make the viewer feel like they're connected to you.

OH also good editing. You can be all of the above and do a five minute, essentially live video and get no hits whatsoever. Because your video is boring. And if you try to be funny without editing, most of the time you appear to be really pathetic.

It doesn't have to be snazzy or anything, but good timing is ESSENTIAL. So I guess your innate comic ability comes into play as well (as we all know, timing is everything in comedy). And if you make your audience laugh, you get more hits.

There's really no special topic that makes a vlog successful, unless you're looking to cater to a specific audience, in which case an enormous number of hits is nearly impossible.

Good luck!

P.S. Don't be a jerk like you were to Robbi (CLYDE). Her humour is the kind of thing that attracts viewers. Learn from it. Also if you gain any sort of success and get the inevitable jackass commenters, you would probably not fare very well.
