I'm working on a myspace layout for country artist Katelyn Marks, she wants it pretty simple, so this is probably all of the actually designing ill be doing, then just having the rest of the page pretty standard.

im going to use rollovers on the links above, and her name text/logo is being changed once she sends me her logo.

what do you think?

I think her name would look better with some kind of texture in it. I like the 2nd more though.

Actually, I kind of like the first one better. It's pretty good, not much, so I can't really say much about it.

I think it looks good, but the image quality of the photo looks kinda low. You should soften over her skin a bit.

I think it looks really nice. I agree that you should soften her skin. As for which version I like better, I like version 1 but I think you should add a drop shadow to the box like you did in version 2. How you placed the box in version 2 looks odd, imo.

i was thinking the same thing about the box placement, and that not the text im going to be using for her name, she has a logo she wants me to use, but hasnt sent it yet.

also, i didnt take the picture, and dont do much photo retouching, how do i soften her skin.

If you're using Photoshop, try Filter > Blur > Smart Blur then mess with the sliders according to your liking.

Did you put the texture over her face? If you did, erase it. If not, her face looks like low quality^ like what someone said up there.

I like it a lot. Although it bugs me that the background isn't fixed but that's a personal thing. I think it looks great though :) Her default needs some major retouching though. blink.gif

It kinda doesn't give me the "Country Artist" sort of vibe.
More likeee a darker kind of pop
