QUOTE
Tbh, I don't really like that layout at all. I absolutely hate scanlines unless they're set to an extremely low opacity and the editing on the image itself looks so weird, I can't describe it. The content area seems way too small. Everyone's using wide content areas nowadays, and I think it would look a lot better wider. Sorry I was so picky about everything, it's just my opinion though.

I only left the scan lines opacity at 100% because it was behind him. lol
And I wanted to do something different... I like the size of the content area.

Btdubs, what does

That entire thing is just a skeleton of a website. It is the uttermost basic there possibly is. And the banner aint that great. for a start, its a disney star. Why? And second, I agree with tj about the scan lines. And third... its just so basic! I could probably do that in ms paint. No joke.

O and its friggin thing.

Yeah, it's kind of basic. I don't necessarily think this could be done in MS Paint, but it doesn't look like you did much to it. You should make it wider and I agree with TJ about lowering the opacity of the scanlines. I do like the coloring though and the little text on the banner. thumbsup.gif I mean, it looks alright but more can be done to it, nawmean? Maybe instead of using a sidebar navigation, you can use a centered navigation on top of all the content and maybe even use rollovers. shrug.gif

The layouts alright... The scan lines are too dark, they should be blended, or have transparency (a little bit). The image should align with the left and right side of the content area.

Never leave scan lines at full opacity. Never. It doesn't look good. Honestly, the blending needs some work; the division line is so obvious. And the "funride.org" tag is a bit random. The content area's a bit too small. You just need to work on little things and it will look good. thumbsup.gif

Tbh = to be honest

Why is your resolution so tiny? O_O eek.gif That would annoy like 80% of the people that viewed your site.

Change your resolution to AT LEAST 1280x960.
