I gave up on the vector girl I was making for my portfolio site because I just couldn't get it to look how I wanted to. I decided to stick with something I'm a little more experienced with for my newest design idea.
Here's the original sketch I did. The right eye is screwy 'cause I messed it up when I tried to fix all the smudging and there are a million other little errors. It was a quick sketch, so forgive me. And here's the lineart I did just to make the painting a lot easier. Finished painting. |

I think it looks great, but the first eyes look better than the second. Can't wait to see it finished.

Aw it's so cute. I think you should have drawn her eyes the same way as in the drawing.

A-freaking-dorable! Super cute. Randomish thought, but have you thought about using a textured brush to outline, instead of it being a solid line? I think that'd be reaalllyyyyy cute. *nods*

^I'm going to try to paint over it with something a little more...not solid. Not sure if I'll be able to keep my hand steady enough, but you never know.
And thanks guys. I'll change the eyes to the big ones then. They definately are a lot cuter. |

I finished up the painting. I couldn't get a texture over the outline to look right, but I think it looks okay without it.
I might add stars or something once I actually start incorporating it into the layout. |

And @crusha, I did scan it to do the lineart. I was able to do it a lot faster than if I just freehanded it. |
