this is where your problems are coming up:
CODE object {position:absolute; height:50px; width:420px; left:50%; top: 100; margin-left:-200; _margin-left:-500; z-index:9;} object {top:1250px!important; margin-left:-470px; _margin-left:-470!important;} object object, td td td object {position:static; margin:auto!important;} the first issue is that for the IE CSS hacks, you haven't defined a unit of measurement (px, em, %). the second problem is that (i assume) you're using this to move the music player. both slide shows and the music player are object elements, so both are going to be affected by that code. browsers read CSS chronologically, so after the first object { properties } is read, they'll override anything in that one with the second object { properties }. for example: CODE div.class { height:30px; } div.class { height:40px; } the div with a class name "class" will have a height of 40 pixels, unless you append "!important" to height:30px;. what i'd suggest doing is something like this. for your music player: CODE object { height:50px; left:50%!important; margin-left:##px!important; position:absolute; top:##px!important; width:420px; z-index:9; } object object, td td td object { left:auto!important; position:static; margin:auto!important; top:auto!important; } just adjust the margin-left and top properties. you shouldn't need to use any hacks for IE to make it where you need it to be. and for your slide shows, give each one (if you have more than one) a different class: CODE         and move each one individually: CODE object.slide-1 { left:50%!important; margin-left:##px!important; position:absolute; top:##px!important; }
object.slide-2 { left:50%!important; margin-left:##px!important; position:absolute; top:##px!important; } |

wow, thank you so much, ill be emailing you today.
so im really not very good at coding, as you probably already know. using the !important will pretty much fix the postition o9n any browser right? so if i have CODE for a slide show, where does that go? im a little confused on the slide shows, whats the ? iv never seen that before and im just confused because they are both end tags. and finally the last code listed is the positioning so i would put it in the who id like o meet section? or within the object |

tags are the tags between and . they're the definitions (or parameters) of the object (in this case, a slide show or music player). the slash before the > is the end tag (like if you were doing or , it's just ). technically, you don't have to have that slash on myspace. the slash is just so it validates in XHTML, but myspace will automatically add them anyway.
like in the example i gave, just add class="slide-1" to the tag. the start would look like this: CODE where ever you have your HTML, that's where you put the slide show. the CSS for positioning goes between your tags. edit: as for the !important declaration, no, it doesn't necessarily mean that positioning will always work. it's just telling browsers that it needs to take priority of that CSS property over any others in the style sheet. |

^ You left out some of the px parts. Try using this:
CODE  |
