Ehh overrated, apart from a few songs they sound like a mainstream band, theyre way too over hot topicised. Shadows' voice pisses me off for some reason. They try to combine too many uncombinable genres. They have a bad fan follwing, with a bunch of little wanna be goths and nu-metal kids running around yelling A7X like theyve been with the band since shadows was 4, the same kids who shop at hot topic
 and wanna jump on the bandwagon of being the first people to see them of Fuse.

Their ok, I saw them in concert awhile ago with mushroomhead and jacknife, and I got them to sign my copy of sounding the seventh trumpet. They were pretty good live, their not my favorite anymore, and their defenantly not the best out there, but I guess their ok.

i like them and can't want to see them on warped tour next year. they put on an excelent live show. if you like A7X i suggest you check out Bleeding Through. they're very similar, if you ask me.

I can't stand them.
I thought they sucked live and I don't like their songs. Their video, which plays constantly on MTV, is idiotic and annoying. That's just my opinion. A lot of my friends like them, I just disagree. Mucho love, Aly P.S. However they can play well, if not live, and I think they do have the potential to be a good band - I just haven't liked them as of late. |

Avenged Sevenfold is metalcore, not death metal, and an awful metalcore band at that. Back when they weren't big, they were TOLERABLE, now they're just awful. By the way, this is coming from someone who listens to a lot of older (iron maiden, ozzy, etc.) and newer metal (Bodom, In Flames, etc). Ax7 is just another modern rock band. One thing I would say I like about them are that they use guitar solos, which hopefully are coming back in more mainstream music. If you want a good metalcore band though, listen to Trivium. They're the best metalcore I've heard.
