have just launched Phatbrush.com today , it is a site 110% dedicated to high-quality photoshop brushes of all types.

I will be adding many more as time goes on. Please do visit the original author's page to determine if the brush is the right one for you depending on your project (if it's personal or for commercial uses) but in general all brushes listed are FREE.

Also please tell me what you think and if you have any comments regarding critiques/ improvements are highly appreciated.

Thank You !

Shouldn't this be in the Showcase Booth? He's asking for opinions on his website... _unsure.gif

QUOTE(divergent @ Apr 17 2009, 07:21 PM) *
I don't like it. Unless you have permission by the people who made the brushes. I don't like it when people feed off other's talent, and "share" credit.

I fully understand what your saying , But no where do I state that I made them , I placed a link to the author's site and gave proper title and whatnot. Some of the brushes I've posted about aren't even well known or even seen by anyone.

I'm just trying to help.

Eh, I'll leave the topic here. I hate jumpy topics and the showcase booth is kinda crowded right now anyway.

I have to agree with Thomas on this one. It's great that you credit them, but unless they said you could redistribute their brushes, it's not really right. People rarely look at the information on pages. They just reach straight for the download button and don't even see the credit, so you're really not helping anyone out here.

I agree with your point , what about the artists or the sites they link to for download that goes down and they no longer respond or care ? I've seen this many times over. But if an artist is upset with my site' I'd oblige by their rights and immediately remove said content but that has't happened as of yet.

I appreciate everyone's comments here.

Designers don't put their work out so that you can come along, take it, and then redistribute it. If you want people to download the resources and be an outlet for them, then make people go to the AUTHOR'S website to get them. Link it directly to the page where they author has it up, if you have to. But don't take from them. I don't care if you linked it, it's not yours to redistribute.

And imo the design just looks... tacky. The header is large (and somewhat insulting) with large fonts, the body is large with large fonts, the background is large but half covered up... Seriously, everything would look so much better at about 1/3 the size it is now.
