I think that I could do better with my layout but I think that this is my best.
I made this in Photofiltre Studio.

One of my friends took this picture. I actually know who the two people are in it. I've decided to use my own pics from now on to avoid the copyright hassle.

Not too bad. You're getting a lot better. I would still work on the text on the image though

Yeah, you are getting better. Although, the layout itself is kind of basic and plain. Also, the image looks a little oversharpened and the text could use some work. The red in the navigation doesn't really fit in with the layout and the image is ehh..dull. It doesn't look much was done to the image except for a few filters and such. Otherwise, nice job. thumbsup.gif

i love the picture, but i think it could use some better editing and text, and it doesn't quite match with the rest of the layout - if you want to match the layout with the picture, use more browns and golds and and greens for the colour scheme.

The image quality isn't very good. It's really blurry. Also, your right column is misaligned by about ten or twenty pixels in IE.

Other than that, it's a bit plain.

Image quality is very low. It hurts my eyes if I stare at it for too long. It's too plain, tbh. Add some more color.

Yea I didn't realize until you said it that I still had the red navigation. I'll work on that.

I make it in FF so I don't even know what it looks like in IE so thanks. I'll move it.

I saved it as either a .png or a .jpg I don't remember which. I made it blurry like that if that's what your talking about.

I could but I really am still trying to work on that whole matching the text with the image type of thing.

It's way too blurry. And is there something on it? I can see these line things that look like white with a lower opacity layered on top of the image.
Also, if you're trying to match fonts, you really need to download a lot of fonts. The default fonts on your computer probably will only get you so far. With that image, I think an elegant but grungey font will suit it =]

still after the edits im not to crazy about the font. You really need to find a colour and font style that will compliment the photo because right now it just looks like you threw any font with any colour under 2 minutes.

tbh
You don't really need that text there
If you want your site name displayed, you'd be better off putting it underneath the image if you can't find a good way to put it on the actual image.

Edit: The font still doesn't fit and it still doesn't blend into the image

The actual photo is very nice. But I'm hoping you can do more than just slap [rotated] text onto it. :/
