Hello guys!

I doubt any of you know me, but I used to be a fellow web designer and was once somewhat "active" here although I didn't post much. x]

I've just completed a new Myspace layout and I would like to see what you think. :]

http://www.myspace.com/AncientWhisper

I've been noted a couple of times by people to come to CreateBlog and I think I might finally start submitting layouts now depending on how things go.(I don't design layouts often. I only do them once a few months now).

If you're wondering about the spaces between the two columns on the page, it's because I can't do it any other way without messing it up on Firefox. Speaking of Firefox, this layout is missing background color and the coding is a little messed up on that browser. :/ I can't seem to find a way for the background color to appear on Firefox... My coding is very messy so I'll attempt to fix it myself if I can find a way.

Anyways, any comments or critique are welcomed. =]

This is waayy awesome. I love the colors, the banner is sweet, and the friends rollovers are awesome. The only thing that seems weird in FF for me is the comments. You should defiantly submit some layouts.

Thanks to the both of you! I'll submit some layouts when I find the time (and can dig them up). Hahaha...

Ah, I just noticed the difference in the comments area. One of the backgrounds doesn't show up. :|

I naturally have difficulties trying to make layouts appear the same on both browsers. =[

Thanks for the heads up! :D

Yeah. console.gif Well Safari & FF are a lot alike so if you fix your layout up in FF, it should look the same way in Safari.

It looks good, It looks off-center though, it's unbalanced to the right. Not sure if that was done on purpose, or if that's a glitch on firefox. Otherwise, I like the vector. The comments area should be cleaned up a bit, it looks like a mess after the "about" section.

HI CINDY!!! Umm, I used to be dreamstar7, in case you don't know.

I like it a lot, especially the rollovers (I'm such a sucker for rollovers). The only complaint I would have is that the banner is rather huge; I have to scroll a lot to get to the content. Other than that, it's beautiful. :] I love the monochromatic + one hue color scheme.

i love it (: the colours, the vector, the friendlinks, everything. and it shows up perfectly for me in firefox, the only issue being that i see the original myspace table with your profile picture and display name and stuff. i refreshed it several times, and sometimes i see it, sometimes i don't. you could just hide it with the code

.profileInfo { display:none; }

(:

@Medi: Thank you for the suggestion! I appreciate it. :] The layout is not supposed to be off-balanced, but actually centered. It looks fine on my Internet Explorer, but unfortunately, making the layout compatible with other browsers/resolutions is not my strength. :[

@venti-anemoi: OMG Hi, Zephyr!!(I don't know if you still go by that. <_<) How're you? =D Oh and thank you!! :] Oh, I'm using 1400x900 resolution, so the banner doesn't appear to be huge. :< I didn't realize or thought that people would use much lower resolutions that would cause the banner to become humongous and a pain to scroll over. I'll try to make banners smaller on my future layout. :]

@fredatemespleen: That's very odd. o_O My firefox doesn't display the layout the same way. I'll see if there's anyway to fix it; thanks. :]

@A1Bassline: The background isn't meant to be white. Some browsers will display a white background and I'm still trying to fix this. >_< It's supposed to be the same color as the warm grey in the banner. :]

@schizo: Yes! I made the vector. :D Although I wouldn't call it a vector since I didn't use any vector tools. (I'm assuming that we're talking about the vector in which the quality of the image will not change no matter what size.)

@elletricity: Wow! Thank you so much for the code! I've actually been trying to find a way to delete the profile module, but I haven't found the code. Thanks a lot again; this will save my future layouts.

:D

Thanks to everyone for the comments. I didn't feel like spamming "thanks" over and over so I left this at the end. :P Also, I'm happy to know of the coding flaws, as I will try to correct them as soon as possible. As for the layout, I plan to submit it after I am finished with using it on my Myspace.

OMG CINDYYYY. This is Cristy. Good thing you posted here or I wouldn't have seen this for a while; I haven't been on MySpace at all these past few days. Anyway, you never fail to impress me at all with your designs. This is one of the few MySpace layouts I've seen that uses buildings in an interesting way; I'm tired of seeing the same city skyline brush all the time. Awesome colors, fonts, rollovers, way of showcasing your artwork and networking sites, everything! You should definitely submit your work here.
