i torrented an album yesterday, but the artist was named "soundtrack" so i went back to edit the album/artist information on itunes.

it changed, but when i double-clicked on the song to play, it went straight back to the old information. i dont think its an itunes problem because i tested it out by changing something in another song and it stayed the way it should, so idk whats up with what.

You downloaded a virus that will destroy you database unless you run a full virus scan and jump in a circle while patting your head.

Take iTunes off automatically importing, make it manual importing new songs and folders while you change the name, and delete any traces that you have of the old album where the artist is named soundtrack. This happened to me a while ago, where one album ended up having 5 different artists on iTunes because all the information was not identical.
