adobe photoshop or dreamweaver fireworks?

vote and explain why!

i like photoshop cuz its easier to make all those cool effects since i'm newbish.

i heard dreamweaver is good because if you're good, you'll make unbelieveably nice graphics, much better than photoshop.. AND... i like the feature where u can slice the image to smaller sections.. so u could make a nice xanga outta that

They are both very good pieces of software but i would use Photoshop. I have both and they are really good. Fireworks i mainly use for small editing touch ups and image maps (hotspots).

Definitely Photoshop. It has a lot more options and overall is more flexible. Fireworks is pretty good for image mapping though. So although Photoshop is better, I use the two together to make my web pages.

i agree happy.gif ... i use fireworks for the image mapping crap and slicing the pic into smaller gifs.

but the weird thing is... real professionals would use Fireworks rather than Photoshop... and their Firework masterpieces do kick ass... the images u see in Deviant Art are incredibly nice.... clean...

they say that Fireworks can be reallly really good if u know what 2 do and how to do it... experiennce is all dat matters laugh.gif
