I've watched (kind of peering over the counter creepily ha ha) the baristas at starbucks making drinks. anyways, today i ordered a mocha, nonfat milk. but as i watched, i saw the barista pouring the milk that had ust been steamed from a metal jug (cup?) that was labeled "WHOLE MILK". so do you think they don't listen to the labels and just use any thats convenient? or was it a passive aggressive barista.

The Starbucks default is 2%. I switched the pitchers all the time. The pitchers are only big enough to steam enough for one drink. So, sure the pitcher might have been labeled wrong but the milk was probably right.

The real thing is not to switch the milk pitchers with the soy. Cross contamination like that can really make someone sick.
