In laptops.

So on February 17th i learned the hard way (It actually melted haha) so i bought a new computer after waiting 1000 years for my tax refund.Which i paid HR block to send it to me in about 3 days (at least thats what the guy said for the 100 buck extra fee to it) and uhmm it still ended up taking 8 f*cking days.

So im back.

Anyway for those of you who are getting money what are you planning to do with it?

Saving it. I'm currently unemployed, and I may need it to pay rent eventually. Maybe I'll use a tiny chunk of it to buy a book or something.

Just out of curiosity did you do a 1040 form with H&R Block? Or do you actually have kids, mortgage, etc..?

I'm using my tax return on an assault rifle. Then saving the rest of it... or probably just spend it just to help the economy a little.

QUOTE
SUMMARY OF THE TEXAS CHILD LABOR LAW

CHAPTER 51 - TEXAS LABOR CODE
General

The purpose of the Texas Child Labor Law is to ensure that a child is not employed in an occupation or manner that is detrimental to the child's safety, health, or well-being.

Except as specifically authorized by the statute, it is illegal to employ a child under 14 years of age. One of the principal exemptions in the statute allows the Texas Workforce Commission (Commission) to adopt rules which authorize the employment of children under 14 years of age as performers in a motion picture or a theatrical, radio, or television production. Pursuant to that authority, the Commission has adopted Texas Commission Rules Section §817.31, §817.32 and §817.33 which set out the procedures for authorization of work by a child actor. These rules also contain provisions designed to ensure that employment does not interfere with a child's education and does not pose a threat to the child's health, safety, or general well-being.

The Commission or its designee may, during working hours, inspect a place of business where there is good reason to believe a child is or has been employed within the last two years and collect information about the employment of children there. Knowingly or intentionally hindering such an investigation is a violation of the law.

No wonder... I thought you were breaking the law lol

Well I have a job. And im 13. And get checks.
There has to be exceptions. How else would all the child actors in the world get money?!

I have a kid, but I still use a 1040. I always use TurboTax. I had my refund within 9 days. It was awesome.

I've bought stuff for the new townhome (a barbeque, some furniture (desk, tv stand, bed). Going to get a next gen console (99.9% chance of XBox 360). I bought Iz some clothes and DBZ Season 8. I went to Sam's Club and stocked up on food/household items.

I'm going to put at least 1000.00 aside for possible mishaps, medical expenses, etc.

Oh and I'm going to see Ben Folds in April, bought tickets for that.

Not sure what I'll do what the rest. I like holding on to some money for random fun.

I have a spoiler for Dragonball Z so if you don't want to know, dont read any further.

Dragonball Z stops being cool in 2004, 5 years ago.

Ah, really? Gosh, you've spoiled the whole thing for me.

I've seen them all, years ago. I'm buying the boxed seasons as they come out.

Perhaps Dragonball Z wouldn't be as entertaining for me, if I didn't have a small child that loves watching the episodes with me. It makes viewing the cartoon immeasurably more entertaining. Also, for some reason I don't get tired of them.

I never could get into Sailor Moon.

Back to tax refund spending though, I'm not sure what 360 I'm going to get. I think that I need the pro, at least for streaming NetFlix.

I hate to tell ya... but 1040's are free online if you choose Direct Deposit and it only takes 8-15 days. Unless you request an over night which is $25 and that'll be deducted from the tax return itself. 3 years ago H&R Block gave me the price of $50 for them to do exactly what you could do online for free. I told them that I would come back the next day. When I came home, I got online and did it... and the IRS approved it within 2 hours and I just had to wait 1 week. From that point on I've only done my taxes online.

Ya next time, go to the IRS website and it'll list all the free to $9.95 Tax return websites. For 1040, definitely free thumbsup.gif
