Make sure to open this up, hell ask a friend or your parents to open these up and don't destroy the camera, instead put black electric tape on the camera and rip off the mic. If the converter box fails to work, just return it and do the same, except try to stop the mic from listening in!

No I don't think you understand how regulations work... this isn't the manufacturer's fault entirely, this is the fault of those who regulated it, the federal government!
