You would need an image editing software such as Photoshop.

I havent used cutenews in forever, go to the templates and could you post the code?

You would have to make the images yourself then upload them to get an image url. Then, go to options on the CuteNews page and select Edit Template. I'm sure you know how to add background properties and all so you can just use HTML to give a background and move the {date} and {author} up to where {title} is. That should work. Then you should be able to do it yourself.

yeah, i thought it would be as easy as that. unfortunately everytime i put the date and the title next to each other...the other is on the next line. and i can't space it out at all.
