Connect it with an Ethernet cable. There is no way to considerably speed up your connection without taking the router apart and tampering with it's insides, but you're more likely to have no internet that way.

Yeah, you'll double the speed if you use a wired Ethernet connection.

Is your 360 anywhere near your router?

its 35 feet away, cuz me and my older bro sleep in the garage and we got it remodeled so it looks like a Regular BIG room..

Wireless adapters slow it down even more.

Get a long Ethernet cable.

You said that you live in your garage, I'm guessing that's where your computer is as well. Why would you need to drill anything? Unless you want it completely concealed. You could of course, rearrange the room.

okay.. as i previosly said..

I say you just move your 360 closer to the router or vice versa. You'll get a better connection that way. Also, I don't know if this happens to you, but, make sure no one's using the computer while you're playing XBox Live because it will slow down the connection. Whenever I go on the computer & my brother's playing XBox Live, he gets pissed because the connection lags.

Yea
Well my brother already moved it to my living room and it's next to my familyroom. So yea wen I go on the computer and my bro is on the xbox, it kinds makes it work the same and it's telling the router that the Internet is in use so that way it will less likely lag out...

yo man i don't think you have a very good concept of how the internet service is provided to you

realistically if you want to improve your actual download/upload speed aka FASTER INTERNET you need to pay for it. This is the only way and no crazy 'teenage fake makeup' technique will change that

your router is actually a combined modem with routing features for a dsl line. so there's one problem: you have dsl. dsl is slower compared to cable. if your family has the starter plan which is like 1mb download/384kb upload then that's as fast at its going to go

wireless is cool. it's just that wireless is crap when you're 35 feet away from the router with like walls and things like that. make a windsurfer (it's DIY and you need like aluminum foil or something)

finally if you use crap like bittorrent make sure you know how to configure it. newfags can't configure bittorrent
