I found out how to add enable metacity in ubuntu!
I needed it to use te awn dock since I had to uninstall compiz cause of video card problems. But whats really cool about it is that it puts drop shadows around your open programs! To enable it enter: gconftool-2 -s '/apps/metacity/general/compositing_manager' --type bool true in terminal. To disable it enter: gconftool-2 -s '/apps/metacity/general/compositing_manager' --type bool false in terminal. |

Get your hands on Compiz + Emerald windows Manager. You'll be amazed. |

Ah that's right... it could possibly but he'd have to have at least 256mb of video ram. But even that is a bit choppy if you want full out eye-candy.
