They can win money + get scholarships.

cons: hard to think of any...... it makes them bratty because they get used to being in the spotlight. Their attitude is severely affected if they win.. they become unbearable.

^It's not hard.

The girls learn to be very superficial, they get pressured into to doing things they don't want to do anymore, they can be subjected to perverts, they can miss out on there child hood. Of course not all young pageant attenders go through that but those are some cons.

Pros: Money, fulfillment, it's something they enjoy doing and want to continue doing into adult hood, it's something constructive to do.

Yo, watch that show about the toddlers and pageants on TLC. That's all the research you need.

A couple years ago, my mother made my little sister enter a beauty pageant. I was deployed on a field op. When I found out, I was f*cking livid.

My sister, luckily, was smart to know that it was a bunch of bullshit. At 13, she couldn't eloquently express why she didn't want to do it anymore, but she did mention it was a waste of time.

I would have raised hell if I had still been around.
