I have an old HP Laptop... not listing it here. It still works and in the 5ish years that I've had it, I've only had an issue with it once.

I've trimmed down my computer equipment when I moved back in August (didn't want to pay to move old stuff), but here's what I have left:
Laptop (primary machine) Apple iBook 1.42GHz PowerPC G4 1GB RAM 60GB hard drive 32MB ATI Radeon 9550 12in. LCD Mac OS X v10.4 PC (gaming machine) Custom built 2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (dual-core 64-bit processor) 2GB RAM 640GB SATA hard drive 256MB Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT 21in. Sun CRT monitor Windows Vista Business 64-bit I'm currently interviewing for a job as a Ruby on Rails developer. If I end up getting the job, I think I'm going to get one of the higher-end aluminum Macbooks, to replace my aging iBook. |

I don't understand why you said you wanted an iMac and thumbed a picture of a dell studio 17. I have a compaq desktop. I use it for everyday computing, I had to pawn my laptop last semester cause i was low on cash. I've been saving up for a powerful laptop though. Processor
The picture was of my laptop. How many ghz is 800 mhz? |

Doing so much work on the cpu wouldnt you hate having a 13 inch computer? Oh, I don't mind the small screen so much. I've used a 12-inch iBook as my primary machine since I first got one in 2002, so I'm used it. Definitely like a larger screen, but I also like having a small, lightweight laptop. ![]() That sounds like a pretty awesome job, I know JC had a question about Ruby on Rails, like where he could get some information for it about 2-2.5 years ago. Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. I'm supposed to know within 2 weeks whether I got the job or not. |

It's metric, 1 GHz(Gigahertz) = 1000MHz (Megahertz), therefore, it's 0.8GHz Dude. Thats pretty tiny. Actually, I can connect the laptop (even the new Macbooks) to my (ancient) Sun monitor anyway, so if I really want a big screen, I can use one; but the iBook only supports a resolution up to 1024x768 anyway, so the point is kind of moot. How big is the monitor? Cause I was think about get a 13" macbook then buying a 22 inch monitor for like 100$. Do you use your monitor a lot? |
