Those are like the first ones I've EVER done so yea I'd like honesty so I can get better. I'd do more if I actually had the $$ to use on photoshop but I don't so I'm using photofiltre and I'm still working on getting better at it. I'm looking at the tutorials on here about it.

Moved to Showcase Booth

I'm going to be honest & pick the same one. Tbh, they're all pretty plain & have the same theme going on: a simple effect & some text. Nothing really special, really. For the green America Ferrera one, you can really see where the two images meet; try to actually blend them, you know? Just try working on your editing & you're good. thumbsup.gif Also step out of the box & try more creative editing.

I didn't mean to sound like a bitch if that's how I came off as. Really, I'm just trying to help out. :)

I agree with manny-the-dino..try blending the pictures together.
The America Ferrera one actually looks like a reflection from afar.

You said they were edited.... show us the originals? We can't really say which was edited the best unless you show us the starting images.

I agree with Nat and Yukke. Also, it may not be such a big deal, but I prefer to not have a texture overlap the face like the third one in the Ashton category so maybe you can make it a look at least a little bit better by erasing the texture over the face.

I would be better right now if I had photoshop or PSP but I don't. All I have is photofiltre and I know most of the tutorials on here about it so I'll just have to start mixing a matching crap to get it to look perfect! :-)

broaden your choices, look for tutorials outside cb.
a lot of myspace sites have tutorials on for photofiltre or w/e it is.

I have but they are basically all the same.

QUOTE(highwayto4355 @ Jan 30 2009, 11:33 AM) *
as everyone already mentioned or maynot have. im too lazy to scroll back through the posts

they all have the same or very similar effects

tone it down with the scan line pattern, i counted like 11 w/ scanlines.

dont use it unless you can blend it in with the image good, because it just covers up the faces and stands out too much.

ok, I just thought it looked good with scanlines on them so I put it on them but if not then I'll put less images with scanlines like you said.

QUOTE(highwayto4355 @ Jan 30 2009, 11:33 AM) *
for watermarks, try to do it in a smaller, less obvious fashion
so that you can still put your water mark on but it won't ruin the image with huge letters that distract the user.

okay those are the most unobvious I have done so far so I'm still working on that.

I had gimp and I thought it was harder to use but I'll try it again.

Well, if you feel you can work with photofire better then keep at it.

I have decided to use both gimp and photofire. I think my pictures will come out better.
