 So Jeezy and Jay-Z performed in DC a few days ago (Carrie you may have already heard about this). Bill O'Reilly (with the help of that douche Dennis Miller), claimed that the use of the 'n-word' and the anti-Bush overtures in "My President," was racist. ...for real? Are you serious? Jay-Z responded well: QUOTE "Gangsta rap comes from young guys who only know what they've seen in their neighborhood. As long as there's poverty, there'll be gangsta rap. People are angry and upset. You fix the neighborhoods, you'll end gangsta rap." |

Yeah, I've heard about this, but I haven't seen it for myself until now. First, let me get over the shock that Dennis Miller is a conservative!
 Second, listening to old (white) men talk about rap... f*cking dinosaurs. Anyway! It's strange, for the most part, I agree with O'Reilly and Miller's inference that what Jeezy and Jay did verged on classless compared with the moment (and the only reason why I say "verged" is because that song and its remix are fairly old and reflect what a lot of black folks think about having a black president), but it wasn't not racist. Racial, maybe, but not racist. How is a black person using the "n"-word racist? And wtf, how is being anti-war/anti-Bush racist? That's Fox News' problem. They start talking sense and then end up adding a bunch of crazy. I applaud Jay's response, though. That was good. |

I really, really don't like watching Fox News. I feel like if I watch Fox News long enough, I'll have a rage-attack and go on a killing spree.

 . little kids in kindergarden just can't stop saying it when they rap their little songs. grow up. clean your language.
