http://www.circuitcity.com/closed.html

I bought a head set for ventrilo usage there this past summer, it was the last time I set foot in a Circuit City. Most people go to Best Buy, I guess. Personally, I liked having more options. Oh well.

Sayonara, au Revoir, adios, adeus, valete, auf wiedersehen, arrivederci and shalom.

^ heh the closest one near my house is 1.5 hours away from me.

I was going to call the place too and see if they had the camera still and if they did then to hold it for me but my mom was afraid that if i didn't get there in time that they might sell it to someone else and then if i get there they pull the whole "oh its gone but would you like..."

I seen this coming when their shares were too low. I feel bad for them though. It makes me wonder if Best buy will go up on prices since there is no competition. I do remember it was either Circuit City or Best Buy that would match or out do their competitor's price if you notified them you found it cheaper at the other store.

On a side note, with CC being gone, I always wondered how radio shack survived all these years.

I feel bad for them as well. I like Best Buy, to an extent, but several of their items are by far, overpriced. I hate the idea of monopoly and while there are other stores out there that offer similar products, there isn't a lot of electronic centric stores anymore. Since I share an Amazon Prime account (many items are 2 day free shipping), I'm more and more buying things online, including larger items. I just refuse to buy something overpriced because of convenience or the lack of electronic centric stores.

Radio Shack has always perplexed me.

Yeah, seriously. I have one by my house, and I don't see a single person going in there, ever. mellow.gif

The last thing Best Buy needs it less competition. Took them a f*cking month to fix my laptop, and I had all sorts of issues with them over the summer, too.

Haha, yeah I am surprised Radio Shack is still around. Their parking lot is always empty. We have a couple Circuit City's here... I never buy DVDs or CDs at Best Buy.

Seriously, what does RS have that you couldn't get at BB, CC, Wal-Mart or a damn pawn shop?

Everytime I got presents for Christmas from circuit city or tried to get something from there, it was either poorly made or broke like immediately. I consider them to be a shitty pawn shop :O

edit//

nevermind, was thinking of Radio Shack.

radio shack has a lot of smaller electronic pieces that would be harder to find at a best buy, etc. That's about it, maybe some electrical tools?

I hate radio shack. Not because of what they sell there, but anytime I've ever gone in there the service has been awful. They either talk to you like sh*t and act like you are a 4 year old, or just don't talk to you at all. Pfttt. I've always found that Best Buy has the best service out of the three stores.

damn i'm gonna miss CC too
i mean now i go there and i was able to pick up an editing program for my computer there for like 50$
and those things aren't cheap cause Avid and Final Cut Pro are all things used in the industry to day for movies TV shows and commercials and it really helped me with class last year cause it saved me from havin to go all the way to the library and using their editing room to do my movies

and yea I'm still surprised RS is around still to no body goes there
even the vibe u get from the store is jus dead
so you know the end is coming
kinda reminds me of Caldors
any one remember that store.....
used to be the shit
