For a start, if you are a web designer I would highly suggest starting to use mozzila firefox as your internet browser.
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ I have found it very helpful! Mozzila firefox add ons are tools you download and they are added to firefox. Add ons: ColorZilla Window Resizer Fireftp Firebug Yslow Mouse Gestures Measure it Font Finder Web Developer Toolbar IE Tab Adblock Plus APNG Editor Themes: You can download and serch through all sorts of themes here: All themes and add ons. You just download them and restart your browser and it changes the look of your browser. Now drop IE! and try out these add ons. (post your favorite add ons and themes.) All add ons and themes |

I also recommend IE Tab, it allows you view any page in Internet Explore within the Firefox Browser. With the ie tab add on does it view it as ie 7? Cause I know my site wont work in ie6 and below cause of a transperancy problem. And I like the web designer toolbar cause there are some sites that wont let you view page source but then I use the toolbar to do it anyway. |

A new one I found is called mouse gestures!
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/39 If you hold right click and move your mouse to the left it goes back a page, u go up, new tab...lots of stuff. Try it. |

I recommend the Web Developer Toolbar, I believe that is a necessity for all web developer, It has a lot of features. I tried the toolbar and I didn't like it but for more advanced users or people who are more committed than I am to web development then thats perfect. I also recommend IE Tab, it allows you view any page in Internet Explore within the Firefox Browser. I'm currently using it. I use it to preview what my site looks like in IE 6 I think it is. I have the one just before IE got the tabs. Anyway, I LOVE IT! |

Adblock Plus (Blocks individual pictures, useful for forums, especially Facepunch and Something Awful)
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865 APNG editor (Creates animated PNG images, useful if you want a gif with more than 256 colors) https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5519 I hope you know we all have Firefox anyway. Theres like 5 people here that don't use it. |

O very usefull tip I found. You may have seen a flash file on a site that you liked and you tried to find and download it but the site was smart enough to not let you do that. Well heres what you do to get it.
Right click anywhere on the page. View page info. Then click the media tab. And it lists all images/vids/flash files on that page. So scroll down to anything you want or the flash file and click save as. |

And it could also be .swf And i didnt know downthem all actually sped up downloads! That will be helpful when downloading iso files. Do you just right click a link and say download with downthemall? |

Copy/paste the swf into your browser, and hit Ctrl + S.
DownThemAll! replaces Firefox's standard file manager. It doesn't do much if you're already on a ridiculously fast connection, like Fiber optic, or T1/T3 |

Doesn't seem to be worth anything. What's it do other than "Greasemonkey allows you to change websites with Javascript" that sounds worthless.

By far my FAVOURITE extension. Tiny Menu. Puts all the menus into one tiny popup, and it is AWESOME. I love me some browser space, yes I do!
There's also the Download Statusbar, Ubiquity (aka amazing), Lazarus (form recovery), and XMarks (highly recommended, especially after I lost 3 years of bookmarks to a STUPID UNWANTED AUTOUPGRADE). |
