So I have this blog, right, and since I'm using a free wordpress account I can't do much in the way of coding (and other than changing the font, why would I want to do that?)but I can change the banner. It's not done yet, and I'd like you guys advice on what to do next. Tell me what you think.

It looks pretty good so far, the only thing I don't like is the scratched borders around them. I like where your going with it but it just doesn't look...good O.o I would have just used plain white stroke color instead.

Other than that its good.

I like it but I think you should use a flashier background to go with the scratchy border. Some colorful brushes/textures would do the trick.

About the scratchy border: I think I'm just going to keep that on the outside border and continue with the non-scratchy borders on the inside (like the Strongbow and London ads). I think that'll balance everything out.

And what kind of brushes/textures would you guys recommend?

I really like it... the only thing i'm not sure i like is the font, I think you could have matched them better, but other than that it's awesome thumbsup.gif

^ I wasn't going for matchy matchy with the fonts. I wanted contrast on purpose.

The only thing about it that bothers me is that it's just the banner and then it goes directly to the white content area. I think it would look better with the black border on the sides and bottom of the banner. But that's just me. Other than that, I really like it. :)

Everyone always says something about the fonts... for everything--no matter what it is.

I thought you nailed these fonts, though.

I like the scratchy border the way it is.. but the boxyness of them is kind of annoying to look at :X if they were more curvy and fit the actual shape of the people it would be awesome.
