So, as a few of you know, I've been trying to get orders to DC for my next duty station. I had it all lined up. Buuuuuut, being that this is the military and you can't believe anything unless it's on paper, I was issued orders to New Orleans. Ground zero for one of the worst natural disasters in our country's history. Great.

Well, my luck changed, and I'm now going to DC. It's in writing.

Has anyone had their luck change as of late?

My luck changed when I read this topic.

Yo, I told my brother to get his ass on a plane and stop by and see me. I am going to try to talk some sense into him, and if that doesn't work, I'll beat some sense into him. So hopefully he'll be here soon.

The whole New Orleans Hurricane natural disaster shit, is really f*cked up really and could have been totally avoided. But f*ck Bush. Racism played a major part in why such a disaster happened. City officials and government knew exactly that the dam nearby, would crash and flood if such hurricanes were to happened, but they didn't care, and did jack shit.
