Ok, so I'm using Dreamweaver 8 and I went through the tutorials and what not, but once it came to publishing my website, I became completely lost.

I tried to install IIS on my computer, but i'm not sure if that's all I need for other people to view my website on the internet, and even then, the IIS doesn't work correctly.

I've searched for various tutorials, but none of them were very user-friendly. =/

I also get confused whent it comes to FTP, so if someone could help me out or point me to a good user-friendly tutorial, that would be awesome.

Thank you.

have you seted up your site on dreamweaver?(you sould of done that when you started your site on dreamweaver)
bare with me cuz i don't have dreamweaver open i just have a book
go to site one the menu bar and click Edit Sites and click on the site you're working on if there is not one create a new one(what i said before you sould of created one at the beggining) anyways click on the Advanced tav, and Remote Info on the Category list and the put
Acces: FTP
FTP Host: your host
Host Directory: html
Login: your login info
Password: and password
click ok
click on Local View to display the drop down menu and click Remote View click the expand/collapse button to display files and folders select the files you want to upload and click the Upload Button (up arrow) click yes if you are asked to include dependent files, and the files duplicate in the left colum meaning they're uploaded go to your site or cPanel and see if they ther if they are then viola

idk if you got this but idk i tryed to help, and will still help if i can
