Okay. Being that my webdesign skills are extremely rusty, and that I am new to blogger... I wanted to use this layout that I found on cb. I reverted my blog to the "classic mode" or whatever, and then proceeded to insert the following code into my "Edit HTML" section of "Templates":
CODE

I really assumed it would be that simple... so why does my blog now look like ka-ka? I saw others post on the layout that it was great and no one else seems to be having any problems with the layout... and I'm rather sad that it doesn't work for me!

-this is my blog, and the end result of what i thought would be a simple cut & paste-

Please help me! This is so embarrassing! What am I doing wrong??

It appears that right now, you have your blogger set to the Scribe template. What you want to do to fix that would first be to click "Edit HTML" on the top tab and then click "Revert to Classic Template" at the bottom of the edit html page. Click Okay on the prompt. Then, on the page that loads, you'll want to replace everything in the field with your html in the codebox and hit save template changes.

I know that what I've just said is exactly what you've said that you did, and theoretically what you've done should've worked properly. Maybe you just forgot to hit save or something. :/

I had to put the "Scribe" template back up because the one I kept trying to put in kept messing up... and you can't even read my writing when I have it up! I try to revert back to classic mode, and save it, and then input the html... and it still didn't work. I really don't understand

-link removed

That's what it looks like when I input the html you've provided in a codebox, and it appears fine to me in Firefox 3.0. Does it appear skewed on your browser? If not, perhaps you have some coding in one of your entries that affects your layout? :/

Hmmm that one looks fine to me... I think the only coding I really have are like image codes, and simple things like that. It's good to know that it SHOULD be working though, thanks
