Yeah there's another ancient topic but this is for 2009 bitches.

My resolutions include:
- Get straight A's...in other words, don't let Econ rape me in the ass again
- Be kinder to my parents
- Read at least one book a month apart from textbooks
- Stop f*cking pretending

So what are your resolutions?

Amen to Econ. I'm gonna add Accounting to that my "A" list too...

I'm gonna lose 8 pounds. Fit into some size 4s, I think... doubt my ass will drop that much though.

^ Oh, that's probably a good one. Relationship-wise.

My resolution is to stop getting f*cked over by boys and meet someone decent. This past year was just ridiculous.

- I got nine As and one C this semester. And a majority of the As I got were with little effort - I did absolutely nothing in the class and then when grades came out it was like "oh look an A". I've decided that this coming semester I will accept nothing less than what I'm capable of, and I'm positive that I can get straight As AND not be stressed out on finals week.

- I don't need another person to be happy. I haven't been really single for almost six years and maybe it's about time to discover what it's like to be my own person.

- I'm horribly cluttered, and moving in with two guys in the spring is going to be a challenge. I need to work on being more organized and staying on top of chores around the house so it looks presentable and they don't think I'm not holding my weight around there.

I have only 4: 3 simple ones, and 1 kind of big one:
  1. Run more: I used to run all the time, but about a year and a half ago I injured (and subsequently re-injured) my leg; I couldn't run for 6 or 8 weeks, and I got out of the habit. I'm going to try to start running at least 4 times a week.
  2. Write more: Once upon a time, I used to write every day, and it was pretty damn good if I do say so myself; but aside from a newspaper column, I haven't written much in the past few years. I'm going to try to get back into it.
  3. Read more: Related to #2, I used to read a lot more, and I'd like to again, too. I have a reading list that's literally about four pages long, and I'd like to work on that. To start, I plan to read No Logo by Naomi Klein, Manufacturing Consent by Noam Chomsky, Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom by Cory Doctorow, and Gravity's Rainbow by Thomas Pynchon.
  4. Figure out my life: There's a long and complicated story behind his one, but to put it simply, once upon a time I was a creative writing student, and then I switched to computer science for some crazy reason, and now I don't really like what I'm doing. I'd like to get a job as a writer (for something) or a journalist, or go back to grad school for creative writing or journalism.

^Your #4 kind of reminds me of what I went through, only with music and I didn't get as far along as you did before I changed my mind. I knew I wanted music to always be a part of my life, but it didn't seem practical at the time and there was a guy involved, so I chose computer science thinking I'd still be happy with it. It took me three and a half semesters to realize that I wasn't happy at all and needed to change my direction, and now I'm about to start my fourth semester as a music major.
