It's alright. Try not to make your cutting so choppy. :) clean it up.

its nice, i have always like the showtime effect.

BUT

when i think of showtime i think of bright preppy colors, and i think the colors are dulled a bit too much...it doesnt POP!.

^True. But I guess she was just trying to match her shirt. And I agree about the cobbing. The lasso tools aren't that good to use when it comes to cobbing. If you do use it, zoom in all the way. But your graphic is good. thumbsup.gif

I agree with all of the above. The image is great for a first, but the edges of you Site Model are jagged.

Beyond the special effects that you added, consider editting the picture itself. I think the contrast could be more intense, and the color balance could be editted. It's just that the picture vs. the striping don't seem to fit in the same image. The flash from the original picture is washing out the girl... and I know you can't edit that, but you can improve it a litle more. Just play around with that stuff :]

If the background blue were just a little more brighter, then I think it would be pretty good.

But, these sings are used for sooo many myspace sites. IMO, making a completely different and original sign would be 5 times better then any kind of showtime effect.

Haha. Cobbing is when you isolate the subject from its background. Like when you PSD something. I'm not sure if that's the right term but that's what my yearbook teacher called it.
