Sorta hate xteener. Don't know why. Just do not like her. I subscribed for a bit but then couldn't stand her so I unsubscribed =\ LOVE panacea81 (Lauren) though.

On topic now...

Viznuk aka Nireyna - She's Ukrainian so she has a cute accent. She's so creative!
Koren aka EnkoreMakeup - Very informative, love his non-makeup tutorials the best. Offers a lot of great tips!
pursebuzz - Love that she's Asian and has stubby eyelashes like I do XD.
Tiffany aka MakeupByTiffanyD - Found her from Specktra and subscribed right away - I'm so jealous of her eyelashes.
Leesha aka xsparkage - Lots of crazy looks that are fun to watch.
Josh aka petrilude - Friend of xsparkage, also lots of crazy looks, also a dude.
Aubrey aka fafinettex3 - She's a cutie, and I love how her siblings pop in randomly during her videos. XD
Emily aka emilynoel83 - News anchor lady, she's definitely the drugstore makeup guru.
Julia aka MissChievous - Also found her from Specktra. Her looks are very inventive but not a huge fan of her personality on video in general, but I still watch her.

phew.

petrilude dude is like....art. i even watch that guy, not cause i have any interest in make up but just cause he's like painting on his face and doing crazy stuff. the halloween stuff was cool as f*ck! when he put that zipper on his eye or whatever. it's hypnotizing cause you wanna see what all he does.

i don't get how girls put all that shit on. i mean it's like 800 layers worth of junk.

^ I know that a lot of the girls who do the tutorials don't wear nearly as much makeup as they do for the camera. I mean, how many neutral everyday looks could you do before it gets ridiculous right? Then again there are also the makeup artists whose work revolves around makeup, so it's not very surprising that they wear a lot of it.

Personally, I think if you do it well, wear as much makeup as you want. It's fun to watch anyway :D To more extreme makeup-wearers, it is more of an art than a form of making themselves look better. Just another way to express yourself, I think. I don't go through all of that though, I just don't have the time or effort.

While we're on the subject, can I just say how much it annoys me when guys think that girls wear makeup for them? They're like, "You don't need to wear that much makeup, I'll like you either way." As much as guys would like to think that they're above girl's makeup and can tell right away when they're not wearing it...it's a lie. Guys cannot tell consciously, unless they are makeup artists. Or gay. A day I do not wear concealer is a day where I get a whole lotta "OMG! Are you sick?" No explicit mentions of no concealer, just the implication that I look worse than I usually do.

Of course this is just to guys in general, not you JC. :)

OHH also, SarahVictor. She has a few crazy looks too.

^I watch not to copy the looks exactly but to find out more info about different products.

OHH. I forgot about Koren. I love him! He has great tips about a lot of things. I kinda don't like fafinettex3 because she's a little too perky.

Jody aka Monromisfitmakeup
LOVE HER. I think she's so gorgeous and while her makeup is wayyy to extreme for me (even her "everyday" look) I love her she puts it together.

I really like monroemisfit too, I just wished she posted more full videos instead of crappy pictorial ones.

Oh yeah, info on new products is another thing. It's fun to watch the more extreme ones, but I mostly use YouTube to watch product reviews, new products, stuff to stay away from, product swatches, etc.

Love SarahVictor's version too:

To be fair, the looks are from MAC face charts, but I could never recreate something that awesomely.

When I watch them put on their makeup, they constantly go MAC, Stila, Urban Decay, etc. All brands that charge quite a bit for their products.

How do they afford it? I calculated some of the stuff they have, that they don't mention that they got on discounts. HUNDREDS of dollars. And Koren has 10+ Mac palettes with Mac e/s. =( I'm sooo jealous of their collections.

^ Most of them are probably professional makeup artists (that petrilude guy HAS to be) so, in addition to working and making money to get their products, they probably get a lot of promotional deals and freebies, that and those types of collections have to build up over time.

Yeah petrilude is professional. Generally anyone that owns foundation shades apart from their own colour are professional (his first video on contouring, he uses like 3 completely different foundation to highlight and contour - for some reason that completely blows my mind). Koren is defo professional as well, although I think he does some other stuff.

I doubt that they've gotten most of their high-end collection (i.e. Stila, UD, MAC) from promotional deals/freebies since these brands don't need any advertising as far as I can tell. I see most of the freebies coming from small internet stores, mostly mineral makeup like Coastal Scents, Beauty from the Earth, Everyday Minerals, etc, sending people stuff.

Yeah and like Carrie, they've probably been collecting for maaaany years. Makeup is just an obsession to them, so while their friends spend their paycheck on clothes and shoes, they probably just spend more of it on makeup. XD

Yeah, that's kind of what I meant. And then there's various sampling and trade events and such (I know Lancome had a big one a couple of months ago from reading All Lacquered Up last night).

I would love to have their collections but here's the problem. Like Gigi said, a bulk of their spending money may go to makeup.

I am a clothing, shoes, handbag, makeup, and food addict. I need MILLIONS to feed my habits.

But what I have noticed is that most of these gurus tend to be fashion-wise in many areas. Their clothing are great too.
