My layout got rejected =| Options

you should PM the staff member who rejected your layout for a detailed reason why. all i can say is that i'm not feeling the wall-paper background, the colors, the plainness... etc

It is a very standard layout. Very simple graphics (the teddy is bad quality) and structure is kinda plain/boring.

It's cute but not really much more of a layout than what most people already have.

Standard layouts are layouts that are still using the original Myspace set-up. Or in other words, layouts that are not divs. 2.0 layouts like that are considered standard, even though we have a separate category for them here.

It's not an ugly layout, but it is really plain. We look for a lot more work done on the submitter's part. Also, the drawing of the teddy bear doesn't really match the background.

I'm sure whoever rejected it gave you a similar reason. Just try and take what we said to improve. We're not trying to bring you down or anything, but there are guidelines we have to follow and certain things we look for. I have a link to the guidelines in my signature if you want to look at them.

One person doesn't except/reject layouts, there are multiple people who look through them Schizo being one of them. So what some people think is plain others may not. Point is CB has standards and if you do not meet them then 9/10 your stuff will be rejected, which is completely avoidable if you just take a look at the guidelines.

The layout is pretty standard, and the bare and background is pretty low quality. /douchebagness>

The bottom line is you're made clear of the guidelines and that the fate of the layout is in the hands of us design staffers. Yes, there are some situations where the decision may have been tricky because the layout was on the borderline between acception and rejection, but yours wasn't really one of those cases. As I said, any comments and criticism were made to help you improve. You could take it or not. Posting a topic about it isn't going to change our minds, unfortuately.

It's pretty much just a repeated layout.. if you want help before submitting it post a topic in the 'Showcase Booth'. Everyone gets rejected stuff, just get over it and don't post topics. There has to be a good reason (and I can see why myself) that it got rejected. You're not the first and won't be the last so don't worry.
