I was wondering if there is a code for making files/folders private or hiding them from other users. For instance, geocities, if I make a subdirectory and move a file in there, how can I make that subdirectory private so the file in that can not be seen by anyone.
Or something close to that. Reason, I'm tired of people jacking my layouts. So I want to hide my .css files so they can't view them. Thanks in advance! (: |

Create a file in that subdirectory called index.htm. Put whatever you want in it, as long as it's there. When people go to that folder, they will see that index page instead of a list of files inside the subdirectory. As for CSS pages, I don't know how you'll be able to hide those. Do you link them using PHP or just place them inside the <head> tags of each page you make? I dunno, I think you can't use PHP for Geocities pages. Anyway, if they're inside <head> tags, I doubt you'll find a way to hide them. You can probably encode them, but there are lots of decoders on the web.

I just use the <head> tags because I can't use PHP on that site. (Virtual Game, lol).

Yeah, I don't think you'll be able to hide your CSS codes that way. Sorry.
