I missed Rihanna's performance... Pink's was alright. Her duet with Sarah McLachlan was better than her own.

And was it just me, or did Christina Aguilera NOT SING much at all during her performance? She just grunted a bunch and shouted WHOO! about twenty times. Major disappointment.

When are you guys going to stop watching these stupid music/video award shows? All they do is lower your IQ, if it isn't already low enough.

The more comments by you I read, the more I realize what a bitch you are.

I thought there were a lot of fake performances, which isnt surprising because I find most pop to be fake. So Christina was ok. I think she did good at the beginning.

We all do our own stupid things, Tung. You're no better. tongue.gif

I usually don't watch award shows because I miss them. When I do, I watch them for the performances. I was disappointed tonight.

I stopped watching award shows in 10th grade, which was back in 2003. I've realized that every year, the shows get worse and worse. I noticed the ever going trend of the media portraying an aesthetic view of a show, over a quality show. These performers are not even performing anymore at all. They go on stage, sing a couple of their own song lines, and that's it. Most of the time, the song is just played in the background. I just get dissapointed every year from award shows, that I just gave up on it.

Didn't you watch the MTV Music Video Awards this year? whistling.gif

All in all though, I totally agree with you. Music award shows are just for people to show off their pretty clothes.

The Oscars and Emmys are still pretty good award shows though. And sometimes the Grammys.

The Oscars piss me off sometimes cause they pick the worst movies to win!!!

I must say that I was not very pleased with the language that nicole scherzinger used during last night's pre-show program on ABC. Numerous times she used the work 'friggin" when speaking to guests. I think everyone knows that this is a milder version of a well known word that is not allowed on network television. Maybe ABC thinks that the use of this work is alright, but you must realize that many children are watching this show since it began at 7pm. I don't consider myself a prude, but I found it uncomfortable to listen to her.

Were you uncomfortable with some of the females parading around in lingerie onstage too?

You were uncomfortable with the use of the word "friggin'"? You've got to be kidding me. There were far worse things going on than that.
