How much money do you make off your site and how?

Do you use adsense? Or Have people sign up for having a icon to their site?

I could def do the hosting because I have a great domanin name so people could have example.wefuze.com but i dont know how to set up ftp accounts that allow the user to have access to only one folder.

(their website.)

Cause I dont want people to mess up my site.

And the thing is I dont know if people will pay to have a ad spot on my site cause i just started it and i dont get a ton of hits. (yet hopefully)

Wait how does the 1and1 affiliate thing work?

Do you get paid for each click on the affi link?

^ I agree with what Arjuna said, but expanding it a little more. If you already have a decent portfolio made up with your designs (logotypes, icons, backgrounds, layouts) and you have marketing set up correctly so google will find you and stuff like that, you will start to attract people who will pay $150-300 per professionally designed layout, and you could be rolling off one to two layouts per week. That's how you get your money out of your site and skills. Use the google adsense or whatever to cover the costs of hosting and the domain name.

Well I have had google adsense up since 12 and i havent had a click yet.

And i its been a day hahah. So hopefully ill get clicks in my adds.

what do you mean have ur marketing set up right so google will find you?

Are you talking about keywords in pages?

Thats a good i dea to set up a resume with my design work.

Personally, I find it extremely difficult to make money off of web advertising unless you have a site that has an exorbitant amount of traffic. Google actually has a lot of tools that you can use to get your site off their search engines quicker and more efficiently. This is where you should start:

https://www.google.com/accounts/ServiceLogi...board&hl=en

You should also learn how to use Meta Tags on your website. This is how search engines will put you up on your listing and increase traffic to your site.

You can also learn about Site Maps which are simply XML files that will tell search engines when your site is updated so that they can be more relevant to the people that may be searching from your site.

However, as I was saying there are better ways to make money off of web design.

I make anywhere from $700-$4000 for each design. There's actually a lot of business in the web design world, you just have to know how to sell it and find the right clients. Making money off of adsense, as so many people do, won't get you a lot of money - making a quality product for which there is a high demand will.
