I don't know my GPA sad.gif because my English teacher doesn't post grades online. The grading system works differently, too, so it's not as easy for me to figure out.

Well I used to get straight A's in high school, I think my core average was 95.75%, and my total average was like 93%?

Yeah, it's pretty sad that when you get to college, you begin to consider 80% as AWESOME, and 70% as totally satisfactory. If I had gotten 70% in hs I would've cried.

If I got lower than a A- during sophomore-senior years, I'd cry. My unweighted gpa was 3.98/4.0, but A-'s = A's = A+'s on gpas, so yea that's why mine was so high. AUGH I wish I had that GPA in college!

I graduated HS with a 3.821 or some shit like that. I graduated college with a 3.619 or something like that. And that qualified me for cum laude. Yay?

Um, kinda? There are three different levels, cum laude, magna cum laude, and summa cum laude, equivalent with different GPAs. I think cum laude was equivalent with a 3.6 at NYU.

Edit: Good thing I graduated when I did, NYU's latin honor policy changed this year. Now you have to have a 3.65 to graduate with cum laude.

Yeah...I agree with all of you. High school I averaged around 3.9-4.0. The lowest I ever got in hs was 3.81.

Now I'm at 3.3-3.4. sad.gif

There goes my hope of getting a scholarship. sad.gif

I hope to graduate cum laude with honors. I would love to graduate magna cum laude with high honors, but I definitely won't be able to pull my gpa up to a 3.75 by my last semester of senior year.

Well there goes my GPA and hopes of getting a scholarship; so far I have one A, one B, and one C+. I'm almost certain I'll get a B or C+ for my fourth course.

I guess Tung and Kevin (was it him?) were right.

I'm in Commerce. If I'm lucky that means I will never have to do a lab in my life ever again XD

Last term I took:
Organizational Behaviour
Microeconomics
Differential Calculus with Applications to Business and Economics
Introductory Psychology
Symbolic Logic

I got 4.33 and 4.1 in math and psych which is how my GPA turned out so high. My lowest was microeconomics at 3.00.

I graduated high school with a 3.78, or something close to it.

I'm inching my way through college, and I currently have a 3.8, that is, until I change my major, decide to go pre-law and have to do some real work. _unsure.gif

High School = 3.85Wd/4.0
First year of college = 1.65 overall
Fall 09 term = 3.81

college overall = 2.5

At least it's going back up. I would like to have a 3.5 by the time I get my B.A

That usually is the case, as I found out my first year. :P instead of high school having grades and points for every little thing, you'll find that some professors take only a few grades, mainly from tests and projects. So, if you do badly on tests and half-ass projects you won't find yourself getting the straight A's you've become accustomed to in highschool.

Plus, you'll find yourself enjoying life more than college.

I got a 3.25 this past semester, which is better than I got in high school. But, it's a lot easier for me to check my grades since everything is online and professors respond really quickly to my e-mails. In my science class we only had two tests and they were worth 40 or 45% of our overall grade, but even though I didn't do so well on the first test I did well enough on the second test that I still got a B in that class, even with the late homework. shrug.gif

Balance, balance, balance. If you're gonna' pledge, go light on the classes. Otherwise, go hard. Act like tomorrow is Finals. Every. Day.
