Hi guys! I was just wondering, based on personal opinions, do you agree with the advice people usually give you that you should study what you are passionate about in post-secondary as opposed to something that you don't really like, but will give you a better economic return in the end? Especially with the economic turmoil going on in North America, would it worth the risk to give up a good program in say, business for something you find more interest in like humanities which is less likely to get you a job?

Well I guess I'm one of those people who didn't take that advice and went for the job that would make me money. I'm going to school for Business right now, which is what my parents and sister encouraged me to go into. I originally wanted to major in Psychology or Education because those are subjects I'm actually really interested in...

I'm now thinking of doing a joint major in Business and Psychology, though...

i opted to do what i like over what i knew would make me more money, which is how i started out in college. i'm one of those do what you love and the money will work itself into the equation somehow kind of people.

i duno, i don't think money is ever going to make up for being bored for me, but i think everyone feels differently about that depending on their background and what not. i also think it depends on what jobs your talking about and whether one leaves time for you to pursue other interests on the side or not.
